Pretty little girl rainbow sweater

I really love this little rainbow top. My niece, Natalie, loves rainbows so I made it with her in mind. I bought the pattern online but made some modifications to it (Yes, I still have a problem with following directions)...but it turned out really cute.

I plan to make another one soon but the next one will be made a little more "fancy". Can't wait!

Day 24 ~ Stemmed Rose

These are so easy to make. All you need is a rose made from rose pattern

Get floral wire and tape plus some silk leaves.

Fold wire in half and pull through the underside-center of the rose.
Start with the floral tape very close to the rose and start to cover the wire. about 2 inches down, add a leaf or two.
Go all the way to the bottom of the wire.

DONE!

Day 14 ~ vintage look rose bracelet

Crazy day yesterday so I am a day late getting this posted but it is so pretty and worth the wait!

I got the bracelet from at Hobby Lobby from the jewelry line "Fairy Tale" by bead treasures. There are others available that are a little more simple which would look amazing as well.

Day 13 ~ rose from new yarn at joann fabrics

Made a small rose with this yarn. H-hook. Have mixed feelings about the thick and thin yarn but the feedback I have go own from others is great!

Day 12 ~ magnet rose

Simply glue a magnet to the back of a small rose. A big rose might be too heavy for the magnet.

Day 8 ~ rose wall decor

This rose is made with a super bulky think and thin wool yarn. I secured it to a store bought burlap canvas and voila!

Day 5 ~ Rosy Tea cup

This cute decoration is great for a unique gift and super easy to make.

What you need:

1 tea or coffee cup (I got mine at goodwill for 35 cents)
Half a Styrofoam ball
Enough crochet roses to cover the Styrofoam ball
Hot glue gun and glue sticks

Depending on the size of the yarn you are making your roses with, you will need anywhere between 10 and 15 roses. Be sure to have enough yarn on hand to match your color.

How to do it make a rosy tea cup:

  1. Use glue gun to glue Styrofoam ball to the top of the cup.
  2. Starting at the top of the foam ball, begin gluing the flowers. Be sure to fill in all of the gaps. It is quite difficult to go back later and rearrange the flowers after the glue has dried.

That's It!

Day 4 ~ Rosy photo frame

Make a few coordinating roses with sock yarn and hot glue them onto a pretty frame. Create a vintage looking gift for that someone special. Put a poem or an old photo in the frame. Ta Da!
